The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit held the tagged workshop.

(The Iraqi legislator’s policy of moderation and rejection of extremism in the Iraqi Personal Status Law) on Tuesday, 3/26/2024, was lectured by assistant teacher Thaer Awad Abdullah, and it included highlighting the position of comparative legislation to the Personal Status Law, which is experiencing a state of stagnation and stagnation due to its restriction to a specific reference from Islamic jurisprudence, the Iraqi legislator has gotten rid of this situation by adopting a unique method that preserves moderation and establishes the equality stipulated in the Iraqi Constitution of 2005 in Article (14) thereof, which is not being restricted to a specific doctrine that is resorted to in the event of a lack of legal text, but rather Research into all the schools of thought that are most appropriate for this law, which is what was stipulated in Article (1/2) of the Personal Status Law No. (188) of 1959 as amended. This approach gives the judge ample room for flexibility, rejecting fanaticism, and maintaining moderation imposed by the phrase (appropriateness) that I mentioned. Paragraph above.
